Litter Bins and Dog Waste
The Parish Council picks up litter at various locations around Ivinghoe at regular intervals, this is currently done by a villager working for the council. Having a litter free environment is important to residents, visitors and wildlife and whilst we would encourage all who live in and visit our village's to either take their litter home with them or use one of the many bins provided by the council we realise that not everyone does and that sometimes litter and recycling do blow away.
If you notice a problem with any of the litter bins please contact our Parish Clerk
Dog fouling
It is your responsibility to clear up after your dog if it fouls in a public area. Owners who don’t comply can be fined up to £1000.
To report dog fouling please fill in the online form.
Dog identification
As of 6 April 2016, all dogs must be microchipped and registered to an approved database by the time they are 8 weeks old. Please remember that you must also keep your dog’s microchip information up-to-date.
By law, all dogs in public places should wear a collar and tag giving the name of the owner and their address and telephone number. This law still applies despite the requirement for microchipping your dog.
